Dr. Salazar is grateful for the opportunity to serve the community in which she was raised. Dr. Salazar grew up in Grabill, IN from a young age up until she graduated from Leo High School in 2009. She continued her studies at Purdue University in West Lafayette earning a degree in Health Sciences. She desired to combine her love of learning, sciences and working with her hands to provide care for others. This led her to Indiana University School of Dentistry where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2017.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Salazar and her husband, Kevin Baresic, made the easy decision to return to the area to be close to their family and she has been practicing in Fort Wayne for the last several years. She loves providing comprehensive dental care and is specifically drawn towards getting patients out of dental pain. In her first years of practice, she became trained in Oral Conscious Sedation in order to treat patients in a safe and comfortable manner. She believes her time spent getting to know patients and discussing their goals will be an investment in their long-term outcomes and well-being. She believes in treating patients as if they are family and is excited to get to know the patients of Grabill Family Dentistry.
Dr. Salazar gives back to the community by volunteering monthly as a dentist at the Matthew 25 Dental Clinic. She currently serves on several dental society committees at the state and local level. She is a member of the Isaac Knapp District Dental Society, Indiana Dental Association, American Dental Association, Hispanic Dental Association and an associate member of the American Association of Endodontists.
In her free time, you can find her exploring local farmer’s markets and thrift shops, expanding her indoor plant collection and tending to her outdoor flowers in the warm weather. Dr. Salazar and her husband Kevin have been married since 2016 and together they have a son, Felix.
